Jesus Saves…

Jesus Saves…

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)

No other person, religion, works or belief system can save you except Faith in the person of Jesus Christ; God’s own Son.

Jesus was God, our great Creator, manifested in the flesh. “And the Word became flesh and dwelled among us.” (John 1:14) It is beyond sad and tragic how many false religions and false beliefs are covering the globe at this present moment. However, there is only one way to God and that is through Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man cometh to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

The world knows of the Christmas holiday, but so many do not know who Christmas is about or why Christmas exists. I recently read where a minister stated, “Jesus is not the only reason for the season. Mankind is also the reason for the season.” Jesus came to be born and to die for the salvation of all mankind; all those who believe in His name. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16).

This Christmas the best present that you can give or receive is the gift of Faith in Jesus Christ living within your heart. Without Christ you are loss and without Hope. Without Christ you do not have the favor of God or God’s eternal blessings upon your life. Only by receiving Christ into your heart do you have favor with God and inherit His eternal and precious promises and blessings.

My friend, do not be deceived or misled by all the numerous false religions of the world. God is Love and HE manifested His love toward us through His Son, Jesus Christ.

“Oh, how sweet to know thou art with me, will be with me ‘til the end. Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him! How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er; Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus! Oh, for grace to trust Him more!” Do you know Jesus Christ? Do you trust in Jesus Christ? If you do not, I pray that you will.

This Christmas season and every day of your life Trust in Jesus…Jesus Saves.

Remember, God Loves You (through His Son, Jesus Christ)

Deliver Me From My Enemies

“Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God; defend me from them that rise up against me.” (Psalm 59).

Possibly, in my life time or since the late 1930’s and early 1940’s, are we seeing such a massive uprising of physical attacks and assaults on a people because of their ethnicity and faith.

It’s getting more and more difficult to watch the daily news without ever-growing concerns for our Christian brothers and sisters living in the Middle East as well as the daily bombardments on Israel. One would have to be completely living with their head buried in the sand to not see what is happening. God’s enemies are boldly moving throughout our globe as they see earth’s final days quickly approaching.

In the New Testament book of Matthew, chapter twenty-four, Jesus himself reveals the “signs” and “events” that will be occurring at his second coming. Could the headlines of today’s news say it any plainer? Yes; many of these events and happenings have been taking place on our planet at one time or another ever since Jesus ascended back into Heaven over 2,000 years ago. But, Jesus also taught that the world’s end-of-time troubles would come on much like birth pangs intensifying stronger and stronger as the day approaches.

I remember when our oldest daughter went into labor with our first grandchild. We took her to the hospital three times in one day as the pains continued. But, on that fourth and final trip the pains had become closer and closer and more unbearable. When we walked through the front entrance of the birthing center that time the nurse took one look and said, “She’s got the look.” What look you might ask? The look of intense pain and suffering! She was suffering and she wasn’t even able to get a good breath from one pain to the other. That seems to be what is happening all around us on planet Earth. We cannot get through one piece of bad news before another one hits right on top of it.

The pains, sorrows, and trials of this life are getting closer and closer and seemingly harder and harder to manage. It appears to me that Jesus’ return is on the horizon. I beg you my friend to make your election sure; your Salvation in Jesus Christ. That you know that you know without a shadow of a doubt that you are a child of God’s, born-again, filled with the Holy Spirit, and ready for your departure ALL in the name of Jesus Christ.

The only sure way to be “delivered” from the enemies of this life and the dreadful Great Tribulation that is upon us is through the shed blood of Jesus at Calvary. Jesus is LORD and He is our only “Deliverer.” Great is HIS name. Amen.

“I Send You as Sheep Among Wolves.”

I Send You As Sheep Among Wolves…

“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.” (Matthew 10:16)

The “world” will not like, nor accept, what I write. The lost and dying “world” will turn away from any and all correction, instruction, Biblical teachings, and guidance from the Lord. They will not have it. They will fight against it. They will shun from it. They will deny it. They will throw stones at those who try to “interfere” with their lives and their own plans. They will persecute and mock any intentions and efforts cast before them to “warn” them of the coming judgment of God upon their wicked, sinful, and blasphemous life styles. For they love darkness rather than Light.

Jesus “warned” his disciples that he was sending them out as “sheep” among “wolves.” Anyone knows what a wolf can and will do to a sheep within its clutches. Yet, Jesus chose this parable to warn his disciples of how the “world” would treat God’s messengers of hope, restoration, and salvation.

Today, I believe that it is the duty of ALL Christians across the globe to send out “warnings” to those still trapped within Satan’s bondages and lost without hope; even if they will not heed the warning.

In the Old Testament book of Ezekiel, God gave explicit instructions to Ezekiel to “warn” the Children of Israel of their many sins and impending doom if they did not “repent.” It was not Ezekiel’s responsibility to “win” over those who rejected God’s messages and warnings. It was Ezekiel’s called duty to be a “watchman” warning the people. The people’s response would be their own choice and decision to make…The same is true today…

Ministers preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ practically twenty-four hours a day across the entire globe. Countless numbers of missionaries go into the hedges and byways each day seeking out one lost soul to share the good news of Jesus Christ. There is no lack of the message being sent out. There are thousands of “watchmen” sounding the alarm behind pulpits and across airways every day.

The problems are the same as it were in Ezekiel’s days…The people will not listen. The people are “rebellious.” The people are “impudent.” The people will not turn from their wicked ways nor humble themselves before the Lord…The people will see the “wrath” of God upon them.

Today, I believe the “church” is the watchman sent out as a sheep among wolves. Christians everywhere are being daunted, mocked, ridiculed, and rejected for their beliefs in Christ Jesus and His redemptive plan and purpose for salvation. But, as believers and followers of Christ, we must, must keep on keeping on…just as Ezekiel, Jeremiah, and all of the other hundreds of prophets and preachers before our time. We must continue to sound the alarm…Christ is coming again…Jesus Christ is coming again…God’s everlasting Hope for Salvation will return to gather His own…And, those left behind will sadly see and experience the “wrath” of a loving, mighty God…

You say, “You’re crazy.” But, am I? The signs are all around us…We live in a fallen idolatrous generation that has now killed more innocent babies than those that died in the Holocaust. Sin is all around us living big and living loud. Sin parades itself in our streets and on our airways. Sin now “brags” about its rights and dares anyone to reject its self-seeking destructive nature. It is as if the whole world has eagerly thrown itself into a sewer of filth, lies, corruption, garbage, and wickedness; loving every minute of it and daring “Christians” to say a word against their chosen lifestyles…Seemingly, we are living in a world gone mad…

Yes, my friend, we are in danger of God’s expedient judgment…And, the only thing that will save both you and me is the Blood of Jesus Christ applied to our hearts and lives. (Romans 10)

It is my prayer that you have already sought and accepted God’s provision for “safety” during his forthcoming wrath upon our most sinful planet. Every man, woman, boy, and girl can find God’s safety and protection through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ (John 3:16-17). And, once you have accepted God’s plan of Salvation, I pray that you, too, will become a “watchman” warning others and helping to direct them to the blessed foot of the Cross. Amen.

Remember, God LOVES YOU!

Christmas, The Most Anticipated Day of the Year

Christmas, The Most Anticipated Day of the Year…

Merry Christmas! Of all the 365 days a year no other day is more celebrated and anticipated than Christmas Day.
Christmas is the day that we set aside to acknowledge and celebrate the miraculous birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. For many, it is also a day filled with a plethora of family traditions. No other holiday except Thanksgiving finds more families gathered together in one place. It’s a time when we Break Away from the hustle and bustles of everyday living to spend time with those we love so dear.

But, most importantly, it is a day and time to give THANKS unto our Heavenly Father for His Gift of Love, Mercy, Grace, Forgiveness, and Salvation. Of all the gifts anyone can ever receive, none other can compare to God’s Gift to mankind; His only Begotten Son, Jesus (John 3:16). Jesus, the Reason for the Season!

During this time of the year, not all families can gather together to celebrate the birth of Christ as they wish. Today, or during this Christmas season, you may find yourself physically alone. Perhaps, your family could not gather together this year for one reason or another. Perhaps, they are scattered from one corner of the globe to another Perhaps, they, or even you, are serving abroad in the military or serving in another state. Perhaps, many of your loved ones and friends have already gone on to be with the Lord in Heaven. Or, perhaps you may be working and cannot get away to be with loved ones during the holidays…Whatever the case might be, know this Truth…Whenever you receive Christ Jesus into your Heart by admitting that you are a lost sinner in need of Salvation, believing in your heart that Jesus is God manifested in the Flesh sent to die for your sins and mine (John 1:14), and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord, you will never be alone again (Romans 10). Jesus will never leave nor forsake you no matter the day, the hour, or the season…He is with you 24/7, 365 days a year!

Yes, my friend, Jesus is Alive and Well…living in the hearts of countless numbers of Believers who have received Him into their lives as their personal Savior and Lord….This Christmas, if you haven’t already done so, you too can receive the Greatest Gift ever given, God’s Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ…Then, you can celebrate the real and true meaning of Christmas with the rest of God’s Family…JOY TO THE WORLD THE LORD IS COME, LET EARTH RECEIVE HER KING! What an Amazing, Awesome Gift!!

In closing, I want to wish you and yours the Merriest Christmas ever and a most Blessed, Happy, and Prosperous New Year, 2014.
Remember, God Loves You!

The Offense of the Cross

The Offense of the Cross

On Thursday, November 7, 2013, many of us passionately and lovingly watched our beloved, ninety-five years old, Rev. Billy Graham render a heartfelt message of Hope to all Americans…”It’s Still the Blood of Jesus that sets man free.” Thank you Dr. Graham for sticking to the Bible, for standing on the Truth, and for declaring that none other but Jesus Christ can take away our sins and make us whole again.

If our nation needs to hear any message of Hope, any words of encouragement, or any words of divine wisdom it needs to hear about Jesus and the Cross. The Apostle Paul stated, “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” (I Corinthians 1:18 KJV). No other man-made religion possesses the Power of the Cross that takes away our sins, pays our sin debt, and reconciles sinful man back to a Holy, Righteous God. And, no other man was completely SINLESS and qualified to die upon the Old Rugged Cross than God’s only begotten Son, Jesus (John 3:16).

In addition to the absolute necessity of Jesus’ death on the Cross to pay for mankind’s sins, no other man born unto woman could bring forth the glorious Resurrection Power from the Grave to live and to reign for all eternity but our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ…Praise be unto the Name of our Lord…

I can almost see why non-believers and other non-believing religions want to destroy the Gospel of the Cross. They cannot match it nor can they imitate it. Only Christianity can claim the abundant Promises of God through Christ Jesus. For neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12 KJV). Buddha cannot save a man’s soul from Hell. Mohammad cannot save a man’s soul from Hell. Even beloved King David of Israel could not save a man’s soul from Hell. Only through the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary can a man’s soul be saved from Hell and delivered from the sinful one, Satan.

Jesus not only can save a man’s soul from death, but in the Name of Jesus both a man and woman alike can find life anew, joyous strength, and power to overcome the wicked one. So many today live in darkness without the Power of Christ Jesus to overcome sin(s) or sin’s debts. Alcoholism is costly. Drug addiction is costly. Fornication is costly. Stealing and Robbery are costly. Lying and Cheating are costly. Murder and Deception are costly. And, it cost Jesus Christ His life to pay the eternal price for these sins and all other manners of rebellion and transgressions against our Holy God. But, through Jesus Christ alone any man or woman willing to call upon His name can find HOPE to overcome sin(s) and to reconcile their life back unto God and enjoy the sweet fellowship and joys of the Lord.

Oh, my friend, you may not know Jesus today as your personal Savior, but you can. Only Trust Him. Only Trust Him…Stop what you are doing and call upon His name. Cry out admitting that you are a sinner lost without hope. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ asking Him to come into your heart and into your life saving you from your sins. Then, go tell someone about your new Faith in God through Jesus. Call a friend who you know to be a Christian. Or, call a Pastor. Call a loved one; a father, mother, sister, or brother to let them know that you have accepted Jesus as your Lord. You will never, never regret your decision and choice to follow Jesus. And, remember without the Cross, Salvation in Jesus would not and could not be possible…Jesus Paid it All; All to Him I Owe; I will Glory in the Cross.

In closing, I want to also encourage you that after you have accepted Jesus Christ into your heart to seek out a home church where the Gospel of Jesus Christ is preached and taught. Church is a place where you can grow in the Lord and a place where you can find fellowship with other believers. Amen…

In the Name of Jesus!

In the Name of Jesus!

Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. (Acts 3:6). Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12).

Right now there is a spiritual war looming in America’s future between its Judeo-Christian heritage and the infiltration of Islam. For over two centuries, America has existed, practiced, and operated between different Protestant doctrinal issues such as, “once saved always saved,” “baptism by immersion vs. sprinkling,” and the usage of “tongues” in the believer’s life. But, the one foundation that all Protestant denominations hold in common is that, “There is no salvation in any other than Jesus Christ;” whether we are completely submerged or sprinkled at baptism, whether we believe in or do not believe in once saved always saved, or if we speak in tongues or do not speak in tongues…

These doctrinal issues may separate our denominations but they do NOT separate our theology that Jesus Christ is the ONE AND ONLY way to God. But, now our Protestant theology is being challenged by many among the highest powers within our land, including our very own President. More and more Protestant Christians are being “silenced” as the teachings of Islam sweep our land. Sadly, many prominent people in America are now following a new wave of “religion” that mixes Christianity and Islam…It is called Chrislam…How truly dangerous for the minds and hearts of our people. Islam does not recognize Jesus Christ as being the Son of God nor does it recognize Jesus Christ as being God manifested in the flesh as taught in the New Testament Book of John chapter one. The doctrines and theology of Christianity and Islam cannot and should not be mixed to make a new “false religion.” And, we, the true and authentic New Testament church, must take a stand to make as many people aware of this new false religion as possible.

Protestant Christians must bind together the Biblical truths regarding Jesus Christ as being the ONLY way to Salvation and reconciliation unto God. Tell your children. Tell your neighbor. Tell your brother. Tell your sister. Tell the man across the street. Tell the woman at the supermarket. Tell your mother. Tell your father. Tell your friend. Tell your husband and tell your wife that JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth is the ONLY name under heaven given among men whereby we MUST BE SAVED!

Most of us who do study the Bible know that the spirit of the anti-Christ abounds. This terrible evil spirit will do “anything” to draw mankind away from the Name of Jesus Christ. As Christians, It is our duty to hold up the Blood-stained Banner that bears HIS NAME, JESUS, EMMANUEL, REDEEMER, SAVIOR, and GOD’S ONLY BEGOTTEN SON. This same Gospel banner has been held up by innumerable Christians since that first Easter Resurrection Morning when JESUS came forth from the grave…

Let us REJOICE that our Savior, Jesus Christ, Lives and let us REJOICE that our Savior, Jesus Christ, Reigns. Praise, Honor, and Glory are given unto the NAME OF JESUS… ”But, such as I have give I thee, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk!”

Let each one of us RISE UP AND WALK in HIS NAME! Amen…

Remember, God Loves You in the Name of Jesus!

There Should Be a Cost

There Should Be a Cost

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. (Matthew 16:24 KJV)

I had an amazing revelation tonight while studying about being a “follower of Jesus Christ.” Being a true follower of Christ will “cost” you something in your life, and usually the “cost” will be ongoing; not just a one-time ordeal…Truly “following” Jesus can cost you personal time, finances, certain freedoms, friendships, family ties, set-backs, judgments, and even Peace with others who do not value or understand your commitments. I know…I can truly testify that “following Jesus” has cost me certain things in this life…

1. Personal Time: Following Jesus costs a person “personal time.” No longer are you the CEO of your daily schedule. Your time belongs to God to be used as He directs. This is NOT popular since most people feel that after working all day or night, depending upon your work schedule, driving in traffic both to and from work, taking care of practical daily eating needs, personal hygiene, and countless numbers of household chores and errands, what “time” is left for God? This is why the Bible talks about “slotfullness.” A truly “slothful” (unorganized, undisciplined, even lazy) person cannot be a true “follower of Jesus.” Why not? Because they simply don’t know how to “discipline” themselves to SURRENDER and ALLOW God to organize their daily schedule of events. Believe me, having raised three daughters while working a fulltime job, attending college, and carrying out the duties and responsibilities of being a Pastor’s wife, pianist, and Sunday school teacher, my life would have run amuck had GOD not been my “time-keeper.” Yet, God did not send down “angels” to do all the work load, I had to be “willing” to surrender a lot of things that my “flesh” would have lavished in; if given opportunity…Many times, I had to also be the “bad guy” in the family not allowing my children to lavish in their fun and more pleasurable times…I’m pretty sure they’ll tell you that my role as a mother resembled a Marine drill Sargent at times, but I can truly say that as adults they know how to work!! So, “following Jesus” costs you Personal Time…

2. Finances: Following Jesus costs personal “finances.” Laying aside for a moment the teachings of the Bible regarding tithes and offerings, let’s just talk about money for gasoline to drive back and forth to church and other church-related functions. Added clothing for special events. The purchase of Bibles and other religious books and materials. Paper, tablets, or notebooks for prayer journals. Cards and postage to mail a variety of cards to those in need…All contributing to the “cost” of truly “following Jesus” in addition to tithes and offerings.

3. Certain Freedoms: Face it; when you are a true “follower of Jesus” you simply can’t behave like or “do” what everyone else is doing! You are called to a “higher” standard. A higher sense of value and moral character…Your life is no longer your own. It’s been purchased by the “Shed Blood of Jesus Christ.” You represent His kingdom and HIS values and standards…That will “cost” you something, indeed! People will “watch” your life more closely and inspect your outgoing and incomings…Everything you say or do will reflect upon your personal relationship with Christ…from the way you present yourself in dress to the way you clean out or don’t clean out your garage! People notice…And, in reality they are supposed to notice!” That is your “purpose in Christ” to live differently than the world; or why else have two different types of people; lost or saved?!

4. Friendships: We ALL want to be liked and have friends. Friends enrich our lives. We enjoy being liked and being a part of a group of friends…Until, our friends decide that our “dedication” and “commitment” to Christ infringes upon “their” lives and freedoms! They, perhaps, don’t want “what we’ve got!” So, either one or two things will happen…Your friendship and association will eventually decline or one of you will eventually follow the other…either towards Christ; or away from Christ…Compromise is never a pretty thing in the lives of those who “follow Christ.” It will “cost” you something.

5. Family Ties: This one is tough. I remember having to explain to my grandmother that I simply could NOT attend family gatherings anymore on Sundays after my husband started in the ministry. Since Sundays were the only time the majority of the family could gather in one place at the same time, I had to miss out on those family gatherings. At first, my family didn’t fully understand it. And, I’m sure that my name was brought up a time or two at those gatherings for not being able to attend, but after years of seeing my family in “service” on Sundays, they accepted and “valued” our commitment. Now, thirty-five years later, I would say that my grandmother’s family and I are as close, if not closer, than ever…Even though my grandmother has gone on to be with the Lord…Following Christ will “cost” you something.

6. Set-backs: Whew! I could be on this topic all night. I have seen my share of “set-backs.” As a young pastor’s wife, before I entered into the teaching profession, I worked as a secretary for one of the doctors in our town. I truly enjoyed my duties and time spent there, but I was eventually “asked” to resign my position because I simply did not “fit in” with the other staff. Why? Because I guarded my testimony and relationship with the Lord and did not wish to compromise on certain invitations to “party” with the girls after hours. I was heart-broken when I was asked to voluntarily “leave.” I thought my world had ended in many ways and I wasn’t sure what we were going to do financially. But, GOD came on the scene and opened doors that only HE could have opened. I was offered a job with the school system that would eventually lead to my returning to college for my teaching degree in middle school education…Thank God for that “set back” in life that was a catalyst in disguise! Following Jesus will “cost” you something!

7. Judgements and Peace: Following Christ will cause you to be “judged” and at “odds” with many of the people and family members that you share your life with. You say, “But, I thought “Christians” were peaceable people.” Yes, we are to live our lives at “peace” as much as possible, but not to the tune of “compromising” “Thus saith the Lord.” It’s scary to “put it all on the line” for Christ…I mean you are not guaranteed a pleasant earthly outcome…Chances are you will “suffer” from your sacrifices. But, it’s your choice to truly “follow” Christ or follow him from a distance…

Sadly, too many people who say they are Christians choose to “follow Christ at a distance.” Which is actually NOT following HIM at all…The price for our Salvation cost Christ everything…And, HE was willing and obedient to pay the price…If you are “following” Christ and NOT paying a price, then you may be following Him from a distance; which is, like I stated earlier, NOT following HIM at all…Like my husband used to say, “Being a Christian is NOT a walk in the park, it’s a journey on the battlefield.” But, let us not forget that our reward for any and all costs that we pay here on Earth cannot compare to what Christ Jesus has in store for his “followers” when we gather on the other side! Oh, the JOY of Following Christ…There Should be a Cost…Amen.

Remember, God Loves You!
