Warning! Warning! Sin Will Be Uncovered!

Warning! Warning! Sin Will Be Uncovered!

But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out. (Numbers 32:23)

“There’s a call come ringing over the restless waves, Send the LIGHT! Send the LIGHT!”

Oh, my dear friend how we need to cry out unto God, “Send the Light; Send the LIGHT!” Not only does it appear that most of our planet is operating daily in the dastardly deeds of Satan’s dark, dark domain, but it seems that many of our churches are blindingly operating the same way.

Sadly, and so sorrowfully, there’s not enough LIGHT, which is God’s powerful, revealing, leading, and convicting LIGHT, these days shining within our churches illuminating, or convicting, the ongoing works of darkness; known as sin! But, let us be reminded: Warning! Warning! Sin Will Be Uncovered! (Sooner or later!)

It is imperative that we, as the Body of Christ, seek out GOD’S LIGHT to shine upon the hearts and lives of man convicting them of their wrong doings, secret lives, and evil ways. The horrific sins of darkness are taking place right inside and within the walls of the local assembly where God’s people are blindingly participating without awareness of the LIGHT… Warning! Warning! Warning! Your sins will find you out.

As true Believers and followers of Christ, we must sound the alarm and WARN, WARN, WARN all those that participate in sin’s arena that there will be a great price to pay! Sin does NOT operate freely…it charges a fee; a great fee…Sin often charges a price that can, and often does, bankrupt forever its participants.

The Bible clearly teaches that there is “pleasure in sin for a season” (Hebrews 11:25). Why a “season?” Because a season has a beginning and an ending; just like sin. Sin often starts off slowly, softly, and unseen by the naked eye. It creeps up on an individual without their even noticing it until it is in full bloom. A person then has a choice…to seek after the blooms of sin for a season or take heed of the LIGHT and depart from the very appearance of evil.

We must be reminded that sin comes in all types of pretty packaging. And, sin knows no “age” limits or “gender” difference. A man or woman in his or her mid-70’s can commit adultery the same as a young man or woman; it makes no difference the age. An adolescent or teenager can commit a crime the same as an older adult. Make no excuse about it sin doesn’t take into account a person’s age, race, greed, nationality, or gender. Sin also doesn’t mind affecting a person’s socio-economic status either; whether you are rich or poor. Sometimes, society tends to look down on the poorer person who has gotten caught in his or her acts of sin while it tries to make excuses for the richer more affluent person. But, sin, dear friend, is exactly like death…It has no preference towards its victims or respecter of persons. Sin is an equal opportunity destroyer.

Many, many years ago as a much younger Christian, wife, and mother, I was overwhelmed to learn that several of my church leaders were involved in sinful living. This devastated me as I had so much trust and confidence in these people. One morning as I wept alongside of my bed I felt the LORD speak to my heart, “Do not put your eyes on people. Keep them on me; for I AM the only ONE incapable of sinning.” Right then and there the matter was settled. Little did I know that within a few years of that experience my husband would be called into the ministry. My, oh my, how those precious Words of Wisdom spoken to my heart that morning by the Holy Spirit have been my anchor down through the years of service unto the Lord. Oh, how we need God’s anchor of Hope in our lives.

Sadly, I could write a novel describing the different levels and degrees of sins that good, godly people have fallen into as well as the terrible, dreadful, and awful results that they had to pay; some with their own lives.

Sin not only destroys individual lives, but it destroys families, churches, and entire communities. The nature of Sin doesn’t matter who it hurts, devours, or destroys…Sin is an eating machine with an endless appetite that is never, never satisfied. The nature of Sin challenges a person to believe that they can carry on their evil deeds without paying the price; but that is a LIE straight from hell. There is always a price to be paid for acts and behaviors of Sin.

Many years ago, a young attractive married woman with two sons worked at a local business. Over time she became infatuated and involved with her boss. She finally made the choice one night to meet him somewhere and go off together. There in the dark hours of the night she got inside of his car not realizing it would be the last car ride she would ever take. As they drove just outside the city limits they met head-on with a tractor-trailer truck driving on the wrong side of the highway. The terrible sounds of the colliding vehicles woke up an entire neighborhood as the flames from the burning vehicles shot higher and higher into the air. Soon their charred-burned bodies were pulled from the wreckage and discovered. Up until that terrible, fateful night no one knew of their affair. But, oh how sad was the truth as it swept across the community and directly into the lives of her grieving husband and sons. Oh, make no doubt about it “sin” has a BIG price to pay at the end of the line!

Today, our churches, more than ever, need to be WARNING stations echoing to its people of the impending doom and heartache at the hands of the Deceiver. Believe me when I say, “Where there is smoke there will always be a fire.”

Once an evil spirit of deception and darkness enters into the camp the people are often blinded without strength as it winds its way in and out of the lives of those it seeks to devour. These types of cooperate Sin must be exposed and stopped by intercessory prayer, fasting, and the WORD of GOD. Great prayer and supplication must be made for all men everywhere.

And, in many occasions, if and when sin does enter into the camp it is imperative that God’s instructions on discipline, found written within the pages of the Bible, be followed and executed with great love and patience knowing that the end goal is to restore, reunite, and return godly fellowship between God, all involved parties, and the local assembly.

Oh, in today’s world so many do not believe in church discipline…So many would rather the sins of darkness simply remain in the dark…But, sin doesn’t like staying in the dark forever…After sin has reached a certain quota of destruction it will rear its ugly head surprising even the most unsuspecting man, woman, boy, or girl. But, the church MUST GO ON!

When our daughters were at home growing up, my husband and I would always tell them that the church was not a perfect place, people were not perfect, and that we were not perfect either. But, we assured our daughters that we belonged to and served a PERFECT GOD! It is ONLY GOD who is Perfect in Love. Perfect in Forgiveness. Perfect in Mercy. And, Perfect in restoration.

We did not teach this doctrine as an excuse for us or others to “sin,” but rather for the purpose of our daughters not becoming harmed, hurt, and discouraged by the wrongful and sinful acts of those within the church who had fallen. You haven’t really lived until you fully understand what all can go on within the walls of a local assembly! God have mercy…

Over the years, I have discovered that our only defense against Satan is to have an even greater Offense…How do we accomplish this? I feel that we accomplish this by teaching people the Truth about sin, Satan, lies, and deception. We must teach younger and older Believers alike that the one person within the church who seems to be living the holiest of all lives can easily be misleading the entire congregation by living a double-life. It is urgent that we prepare the unprepared heart to hear, know, and accept the Truth… What is the truth? That ALL have sinned and come short of the GLORY OF GOD…ALL like sheep have gone strayed. We must teach our children and others to pray, pray, pray for one another.

But, as Believers, aren’t we glad that JESUS PAID IT ALL…Jesus paid the terrible price of Sin at Calvary’s Cross…And, by TRUSTING in Him we too can become overcomers just as Christ overcame the grave. We have the POWER to overcome sin and temptation in the Name of Jesus!

Believe me when I say that Satan loves to go after innocent Believers through the wrongful acts of church leaders…Satan will pound, pound, pound away with his powerful demonic hammer until the strongest of leaders can fall…That’s why the WARNING of SIN must, must be sounded; and sounded often!

It’s simply NOT enough to just tell the sinner that God loves him…We must also WARN both the sinner and saint alike that Satan hates them and wants to destroy their life while here on planet Earth; and throughout all eternity.

We must explain and teach that the church should NOT be seen as a playground to wink at “sin.” The church is our headquarters sending believers out to engage in spiritual combat on spiritual battlefields where man’s soul hangs in the balance.

We, as Believers, must be fully equipped and fully dressed in God’s armor to engage ourselves in spiritual warfare in a most effective and decisive manner; and having done all to STAND firm against the wiles of the Devil; and not to fall into diver temptations. (See I Corinthians 10:13).

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! Sin has a terrible price…And, in time ALL acts of unconfessed and unrepented sins will be made manifested and revealed from shore to shore for the sin it is. Are you really prepared? Are we really prepared?

Oh, that our merciful Heavenly Father and LORD would Send the LIGHT! Send the LIGHT! Send The Blessed Gospel Light to convict the hearts of every man, woman, boy, and girl to turn away from sin, repent, and restore rightful peace and fellowship with God and with others before it is too late. To God be the Glory…Amen… In love, you have now been warned…

Lamentations, Mourning, and Woe…

Lamentations, Mourning, and Woe

“And there was written therein, lamentations, and mourning, and woe.” (Ezekiel 2:10)

For the past several weeks, I have been facilitating and teaching a Bible study on the book of Ezekiel. Of all the Bible studies I have attended or those I have taught, this one is proving to be quite challenging, revealing, and concerning. I am discovering more and more each day how deeply I am living within an idolatrous nation and how many man-made “idols” we actually have set up for ourselves.

We are truly a nation facing the Biblical judgment process of Lamentations, Mourning, and Woe. Let me explain:
Lamentations are periods of sadness, unhappiness, depressions, discontentment, hopelessness, feelings of gloominess, and spells of crying. Sound familiar? America’s pharmaceutical industry has made a fortune over the past two to three decades selling every drug and narcotic it can produce to give our society relief from symptoms of clinical depression…One out of every three commercials has something to do with symptoms of depression.

A few decades ago, we weren’t all that familiar with the words such as “depression” and “dysfunction.” Today, the word “dysfunction” describes our American lifestyle better than functional, efficient, manageable, and thriving. Everywhere you look people are trying to find “function” in “dysfunction!” With all the “dysfunction” and “depression” revolving around us, I believe it’s clear to say that we are a nation of people experiencing the judgment of Lamentations! I believe this isn’t something that “we” have created or totally brought upon ourselves, but something that GOD has allowed to come upon us as a result of our turning our backs on Him. Just as in the days of Ezekiel, God is sending us His warnings! And, we are experiencing the first stage in full force, Lamentations.

God is a merciful. He is willing to extend mercy and grace to each individual sinner as well as an entire nation. But, the decision lies within our own hearts, mind, and choices. When we do not “awaken” from our idolatrous ways during God’s time frame of “Lamentations,” he carefully guides His judgments to the next level, “mourning.” I believe our nation is now experiencing a time of “mourning.” Let me explain. Mourning is associated with “loss.” Mourning brings about grief and despair; worries and anxieties; confusion and uncertainties. We are seeing the “love of many wax cold.” Countless numbers of people no longer have natural affections one for another or feelings of sympathy and empathy. We have “lost” human compassion on so many levels. We have “lost” our abilities to govern our lives, families, and society effectively. We have “lost” wisdom in high places and how to apply it. And, we are now losing our constitutional “rights” that were once never challenged. We are now a nation in “mourning.”

That only leaves us with one more phase of judgment, Woes. There is something so very fearful and dreadful about this time period…There is no turning back once it begins. God is just and when he sends catastrophic woes upon our lives and that of our nation he does not stop until HE wills it to be so. Our human cries and tears will not stop God’s “woes.” God gives us plenty of time to “repent” and turn back to Him during the periods of Lamentations and Mourning. But, once His “woes” begin they will continue until His judgment is concluded and final.

The Children of Israel did not heed God’s lamentations and time of mourning; not even after they had been exiled to Babylon. For it was in Babylon, to those already in captivity, that God sent Ezekiel. There they were, the Children of Israel, living in exile camps still refusing to “turn” from their idols and wicked ways. I have to wonder, will America be the same way? Will we, as a nation, hold onto our “idols” of money, self-centeredness, pleasure, prosperity, self-reliant military power, allies, and religious practices instead of looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith? God, have mercy.

As we continue to face greater mourning and future “woes,” will our churches continue to be nothing more than community meeting places to make us look good to ourselves and to others? Will we continue to seek the answers to our many complex problems within society in our government officials and representatives; instead of seeking God’s face? Will we continue telling God that He is not wanted or needed in our public schools, public places, and government? Will we continue to offer our children upon the altars of abortion and human trafficking? Will we continue to sell and use illegal drugs, alcohol, and sex as our nations favorite past time? Will our sports arenas and movie theaters continue to bid for our attentions and allegiance as oppose to church worship, Bible study, and family prayer time? Will our society continue to be forced into accepting sinful practices of homosexuality, fornication, prostitution, and man-made self-righteous wickedness? God forbid.

But, this I can answer…God will not allow any nation who turns its back on Him to prosper in its sins. The handwriting is on the wall…The answer can be found in II Chronicles 7:14, 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

While we are yet in the “mourning” stage, it is my prayer that God’s people will humble themselves, pray, seek God’s face, and turn from our wicked ways…Before the time of “woe” is upon us. As in Ezekiel’s day and time, we, the true Church made up of born-again Christians, are called to be the Watchman sending out God’s warnings unto the people…”Repent, repent, repent!”

In so many ways, we have been warned. Have mercy upon us, O, Lord. Amen.

Spiritual Awakening…

Discipline, Integrity, Intelligence, and Order…The marks of Spiritual Awakenings…

Spiritual Awakenings in our nation’s history have been described as a time that brought forth mankind’s disciplined actions, moral integrity, higher-order thinking, and civil obedience as a result of God’s intervention, restoring, and refreshing. True Spiritual Awakening is not marked by “emotion” alone, but by the inward pursuit of godly, righteous, and holy living. Who would not agree that our nation is in bad need of Spiritual Awakening? Never before in our nation’s history has our citizens greatly lacked such self-control and discipline. Society has gone wild in its pursuit of undisciplined lives and life-styles. Moral integrity is at an all time low. Politicians and government officials lie to cover lies. Our school systems and universities are failing to equip our students with enough intelligence to even “think” for themselves…And, crimes are so rampant in most towns and cities that our judicial system simply cannot keep up. America needs reviving!

The late, great Rev. Jonathan Edwards preached his famous sermon; “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” in the 1730’s that lead to America’s first sweeping Spiritual Awakening. It doesn’t take much for one to read the title to know the Power contained in the message. God’s patience does and will run out against continual, habitual sin and sinful living. It is said that those in Edwards’ congregation felt as if they were going to “slid right into hell” as he preached repentance. We don’t hear too much about “repentance” these days. Many of today’s churches are no more than tax-free country clubs where everyone “knows your name and glad you came.” We are in need of spirit-filled evangelism as Dr. Billy Graham so powerfully preached in his day and times.

Sadly, instead of hearing about repenting of our sins, we are taught how to “smile” our way through them. As one preacher stated, “People are still dying and going to hell, but they are going now with a smile on their face.” God didn’t send Jesus to die on the Cross to put a smile on our face, even though it does put Joy in our hearts. God called man everywhere to “repent,” to turn away from sinful living and unrighteousness to godly living and disciplined righteousness.

I doubt the average teenager in America can define what godly living and disciplined righteousness even means…Sadly, but they do know what it means to have a “form of godliness and denying the power thereof.” To them, smiling your way through sinful behavior appears “godly” and jumping up and down to loud rock-n-roll praise music demonstrates God’s power! Believe me when you experience God’s authentic power it typically brings you to your knees in shame and tears. Yes; America needs to be Revived, Restored, and Refreshed in God’s formula for Revival…Repentance, Prayer, Fasting, and Godly Disciplined life styles…

It is my prayer that our generation will experience such a time of refreshing in our own life time when man can once again lift up holy hands unto the Lord…Amen…

Fellowship With God…

If we say that we have fellowship with God, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth…” IJohn 2:6 KJV

It is almost too sad to think about the countless numbers of people who “believe” they are in fellowship with God when in fact they remain in darkness. God is never impressed or delighted by our made-up agendas for life…He is very satisfied and completely delighted in HIS plan for mankind. Thankfully, God is always patient, kind, and long-suffering towards mankind as they falter in their man-made “darkness” searching for HIS LIGHT! Yet; once, we come out of darkness to know GOD as our personal Savior through his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, then we must break away from any and all fellowship with darkness and walk not in darkness, but rather in the Light; for God is Light.

How do we know when we are “walking” in the Light of God? The Bible teaches, “But, if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.”
Fellowship with God means that we stop “arguing” with God and trying to do things “our” way. It is when we have reached a point of letting go of our own man-made agendas and accepting God’s way of Salvation and God’s way of repenting, rejecting, and departing from our “own” ways to following God’s ways.

I believe that having true “Fellowship With God” requires the need to “stop” looking back and comparing our old life style with the one God has set before us. There have been many true believers who have left it all to follow God. The secret to their happiness and JOY was not looking back to see what all they had left behind, but rather looking forward with great acceptance as to what God has placed within their path and lives. We cannot know true PEACE and FELLOWSHIP with God when we are comparing God’s ways with man’s way as if we are missing out on something…This is like having one foot in darkness (things of the world) and one foot in the light (things of God)…the two will not and cannot follow one another; thus fellowship is broken. True fellowship with God is having both feet firmly planted in the LIGHT of God’s word and accepting HIS will for our lives…and knowing for certain that we are not missing out on anything but final destruction!

Thankfully, the Bible teaches us, “If we confess our sins, he (God) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Thus, established Fellowship With God is imputed into our lives…The anchor of every’s man heart, desires, and wishes…whether or not they admit it. My Friend, the Bible teaches us NOT to love the world and the things therein…To have and possess sweet Fellowship with God, we must learn how to let go of the world, our past, and our man-made plans to accept God and His plan and purpose for our lives. After all, what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or, what does it profit a man to have everything “his” way and in the end lose all!

Today, I encourage you. No, I beg of you, to let go of the world and all that it possesses to enjoy and delight in Fellowship With God…For the world and all it possesses will one day pass away, but he that doeth the will of God will abide forever and ever. How grateful I am to know Fellowship with God…Amen.

Leaness into Their Souls…

Leaness into Their Souls…

But, they lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted GOD in the desert And He gave them their request; but sent leaness into their soul.  (Psalm 106:14-15 KJV)

I don’t know about you but to me the words, “leaness into their souls,” has a very dark, dreary, sickly, scary, and negative connotation.  Anyone knows the difference between “fatness” and “leaness,” just look at a good cut of beef or steak.  “Lean” is less!

And, what God is saying unto the Israelites is that he will give them “what they want,” but it will cost them in their souls!  A good research into both philosophy and psychology will reveal that the “soul” of man is contained within his mind, memories, and thoughts.  Oh, stay with  me; this is going to get good!

Our nation is currently “suffering leaness of the soul.”  How?  Look at all the political, social, financial, and societal issues and unrest we are facing…NO ONE KNOWS WHAT TO DO ANYMORE TO CORRECT THEM!!  We are experiencing LEANESS IN OUR MINDS, MEMORIES, AND THOUGHTS!!  Our leaders are failing us because our nation is suffering from “LEANESS” being sent directly by God into our souls…

Do you see it?  Our minds, memories, and thoughts are THE AREAS OF man’s INTELLIGENCE!!!  God adds to or takes away from man’s  intelligence!!…Man cannot solve his own problems without God; it takes the MIND OF CHRIST….Since we have become a nation that no longer looks unto God for HIS ways or His answers we have become weakened in our minds and thoughts (leaness); unable to resolve our own issues.  As a result, we are now looking unto our own weary “LEAN” (souls)  MINDS!  This is why things keep getting worse, worse, and more worse!  And, they will continue getting worse until we as a people and nation repent and turn back unto GOD! (II Chronicle 7:14)

I read somewhere on yesterday that this nation alone aborted nearly 400,000 babies last year.  And the caption to the article read, “Would the nation have reacted differently had they been killed with guns!”   Makes you think, doesn’t it….Yes; it was painfully disturbing hearing of those 20+ children gunned down by a sin-sick madman. Our hearts and minds cannot even fathom the wretched loss, grief, and woe those families are enduring.  Yet; women all around our country march into clinics or hospitals every day killing the life of an unborn child within them; a life.  Is it no doubt why God has sent “leaness” into our souls!

Abortion is only one sin-crime that our nation partakes.  Everywhere you look these days ungodly institutions such as Hollywood, varieties of marketing schemes, and the fashion industries bombard our thoughts and minds with filthy scenes of lust, sex, fornication, adultery, and homosexuality.  Every object marketed these days seems to have some sort of sexual connotation involved; even a dust mop!

Before God “sent leaness” into the souls of the Israelites the Bible tells us that the people “LUSTED EXCEEDINGLY.” I truly believe that when it takes “sex” to sell a dust mop that it is a sign that our nation is “LUSTING EXCEEDINGLY!”  And, don’t get me started about how our closets have grown larger and larger over the years and all of these storage facilities popping up all across the country to hold our belongings!  America could clothe the entire world with many of its excessive closets and belongings!  And, we wonder why God has sent “leaness” into our souls!

In closing, let me say this…One of the most grieveious sins in the eyes of God is the act of committing sex with same-sex partners.  I don’t care what the media or Hollywood are trying to do in corrupting the minds and souls of our land homosexuality is and always has been a reprobate sin in God’s eyes.  As our nation continues to bow down its moral conscience to homosexuality we will move farther and farther away from God and closer and closer to judgment.  In the Old Testament, Abraham himself asked God to spare Sodom and Gomorrah if only TEN righteous men could be found. When God looked down on the “sins” of Sodom and Gomorrah He could not find TEN living rightly unto God, therefore God, himself, destroyed the cities. (Genesis 18:20 through Genesis 19:28).

My friend, we are already experiencing “leaness into our souls.”  It is my prayer that we will return unto God before our “leaness” leads us straight into judgment.  God is a merciful God extending both HIs Grace and Mercy to thousands of generations.  May His people call upon His name before it is everlasting too late.

Be careful of what we “want,” because it can send “leaness” into our souls…Amen.

Day 19 Celebrating Immanuel

Day 19 Celebrating Immanuel

Repent, for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand…(Matthew 3:1)

These are now famous words of John the Baptist, Jesus’ first cousin on his mother’s side and also God’s chosen forerunner to the Messiah, “Repent, for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”

I think it is somewhat interesting that John the Baptist did not preach, “Believe, for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”  But, rather chose a very familiar word to the Jewish nation, “Repent.”

Most understand the meaning of “repent” as “turning away from sin,” which is true. But, in the Bible it also clearly means to “change one’s mind” about something.  And, when a person’s “mind is changed” regarding a matter it is usually followed by action.  True repentance changes a person’s mind, heart, and actions.  One can “believe” in something or someone, but not change their OWN perspectives, philosophies, or actions.  John the Baptist was preaching that the Jewish nation would have to “change their mind and actions” as the kingdom of Heaven, referring to Jesus Christ, is at hand.

The Kingdom of Heaven” is still at hand today just as it was over two thousand years ago and for people to receive and be invited into this wonderful, mighty, everlasting, peaceful Kingdom one still has to “repent” in addition to believing.  True belief and repentance will manifest itself in a person’s ways, attitude, actions, interactions, and choices.  Remember, one can believe without repenting, but to truly repent one must first believe.

I fear that many “believe” but have never repented unto God; meaning to allow Him Lordship over their life.  The Bible clearly states in Matthew 7:23 (Jesus Christ himself speaking):  “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”  (or never repented from their sins, ways, actions, or choices).  True Salvation is more than just “believing.”

So many today still “choose” their own ways and actions even after they say they “believe” in God. They don’t mind believing in God and in God’s mercy, grace, and love, but they don’t want to believe in His having right of Lordship over their lives.  But, John the Baptist preached one of the greatest messages of all time, “Repent for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”  Amen.  Have you believed and repented by asking Jesus Christ into your heart to be LORD over your life?

The Prayer of Jabez…

The Prayer of Jabez…

1 Chronicles 4:9…The shortest biography known…”Now, Jazeb was more honorable than his brothers…”

At the beginning of the 21st century, Christian author, Bruce Wilkinson, published a wonderful little book that took the nation (and world) by storm…”The Prayer of Jabez.”  Nearly every shop and store in small towns and large cities alike had a display of the proposed life-changing little book…The philosophy was spreading like wild-fire across the nation that Jabez’s prayer could change a person’s life for the better and provide greater opportunities for prosperity…

Question…With so many copies of this book sold to just about anyone and everyone in our nation…where is the prosperity of our country today; in 2012?  What happened? Did we not “repeat”  Jabez’s prayer enough? Did we not believe it would work for us?  Did we not dot our i’s and cross our t’s as we recited the prayer? Where is our “enlarged coast” (or, territory) and where is our financial blessings, indeed?”

Answer… Sadly, both people who didn’t even believe in nor have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ suddenly thought if they repeated the same words as “honorable” Old Testament Jabez enough times that they, too, would be blessed and enlarged with the abundant life (endowed with both materialistic and spiritual blessings).  Then, when it didn’t happen, they became disillusioned about the whole  “name it-claim it”  band-wagon and blew “all” believers off as skeptics.  In other words, it just didn’t work for them…

Problem…God doesn’t work like that!  YES! Bruce Wilkinson’s book was a great idea; I loved it…I have a copy of it myself lying on a table in my bathroom…It sets beside a pretty flower arrangement and, of course, a scented candle…I love the idea of the book, its size, and the pretty beige-colored front cover… Even now, I love picking it up from time to time and reading through its pages and being reminded that God does hear and answer HIS children’s prayers and desires….But,…(Seems there’s always a, “but” with certain things!)

BUT, even with the sells of millions of copies of this book at the beginning of the 21st century, our nation continued on a stead-fast path to a lack of prosperity, added trials, and severe persecutions….REASON:  I think we may have forgotten an important part of Jabez’s prayer, “That I may NOT cause pain.”

Jabez was NOT asking God to “bless” him for personal gain or personal, selfish reasons or desires…He was asking God to “bless” him so that he would NOT be an added burden to anyone’s or someone else’s life…He wanted to be reliant, self-sufficient in God, by God, through God, and with God…His inward motive was clear…He wanted and desired a better, closer, and more intimate relationship with His creator God…A more delightful walk in the LORD of All.  A steady, daily walk with God!

God is NOT interested in our self-seeking words and repetitious prayers for selfish gain, he looks upon and examines the inward HEART to see if what we truly want is a better relationship and a greater knowledge of Him…Not just an “enlarged” territory…But, an “enlarged God” in our territory!!!!!!!!!!!!!  (Wow! I even felt JOY over that spirit-anointed statement! Thank you Sweet Jesus!)

I firmly believe if everyone who sought God through the Jabez prayer for prosperity purposes only would repent and seek God’s face (II Chronicles 7:14) in humbleness (to submit ourselves unto a Holy and Righteous God) then and only then will we see the mighty and miraculous blessings of God upon our lives and that of our nation…

God sent His son to seek and to save that which was lost….Not merely to “bless us indeed,” (even though we are blessed indeed in Jesus Christ!), but that we may have life and have it more abundantly through a personal walk and relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ (John 3:16-17).

My friend, you may be one who “tried” the Jabez prayer for your life…That’s ok…Many souls did the same, but until you first pray the sinner’s prayer outlined in the New Testament in the book of Romans, chapter ten (Often referred to as the Roman’s Road to Salvation…I suggest you read the entire chapter and the entire book of Romans that the Apostle Paul wrote to the early church in Rome), you won’t have the right or needed relationship with God to experience any blessing from Him…

See, it physically rains on the just (saved-those who believe in Christ Jesus and follow His teachings) and on the unjust (unsaved-lost without a personal relationship with Christ Jesus). But, there is only ONE YOU….And God is wanting a personal relationship with YOU right now…Seek His face…Seek Him today….”He is ALL I Need…He is ALL I Need….”Oh, how sweet it is walking in this life with Jesus in your heart…

Remember, God Loves You!
