The Non-Improved, Darker Version of America

The Non-Improved, Darker Version of America

I have just read a very disturbing article where a twenty-four year old mother converted to radical Islam because of its traditional family values and objections to western society’s immoral behaviors. My question is this. Shouldn’t such fundamental seekers be turning to Christianity for the very foundation of spiritual and moral values and the traditional family; not radical Islam?

Has the non-improved, darker version of America so darkened the Light of fundamental Christianity that our entire nation appears to be lost in darkness to the rest of the world? America, a nation that once stood as a representative to the True LIGHT of Jesus Christ and sent out more missionaries than any other nation on earth is now rejected by the lost and dying world because of her own participation in immoral sins??!! Saints of God…WAKE UP!!!

Sadly, our nation elected a president who embraces anything but fundamental, traditional Christian moral values. He eagerly calls to congratulate major league athletes who come out of the closet to proclaim their homosexuality while he disrespectfully salutes our Marines with a cup of coffee in his hand as if he is just blowing them off.
The entire world has taken notice of this president’s radical behaviors and attempts to discredit our nation’s Christian heritage. Sadly, the world has concluded that since, “we the people” elected him as our leader then the entire nation must be in agreement with his sins. Yes, I said, “sins!”

As a nation, we are being led by a man who calls right wrong and wrong right. The Bible plainly teaches, “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” But, thanks be unto our Lord and Savior, this president does not speak for me or my family. He is a rebel and an antagonist to all born-again Christians who still seek the TRUTH that is only found in JESUS CHRIST within the BIBLE; the Word of God.

Oh, what a sad, sad day to read that hundreds if not thousands are converting to a radical way of life in order to reject “western society’s infidel ways.” Oh, if the world could only see that countless numbers of families in America REJECT all of this immorality and non-traditional family values. Oh, if they could only see that we are still a nation where thousands of families meet regularly to faithfully Worship and Praise our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who died to set ALL men and women free from sin. (John 3:16). And, if the world could only see that there are still thousands and thousands who seek to “serve” and live for our LORD in all that we say and do.

Oh, to remember the blessed America before the “non-improved, darker version of America” arose. There is only ONE way to redemption and that my friend is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ…If someone, anyone, is seeking and searching for a better and moral way of life as well as eternal life after death let us point them to the CROSS of Calvary…not radical Islam. Amen.

To Love Instuction…

To Love Instruction…

“Whoso loveth instruction (Or, discipline) loveth knowledge (Or, understanding); but he that hateth reproof ( Or, correction) is brutish (Or, rebellious).” (Proverbs 12:1).

Sadly, we are living in a society that makes fun of those who seek a disciplined, submissive, and wholesome lifestyle while it celebrates those who rebel against any type of authority, instruction, or correction.

Too many times a “rebellious” mindset to authority begins early in childhood. Our nation’s jails and correctional institutions are filled with inmates that never accepted being told, “NO,” or what to do…Putting a person with a rebellious attitude and mindset in mainstream society along with other contributing negative factors can produce a very troubled soul.

Fortunately, as a child, I was told that handing out discipline was just like handing out love. My dad always told me, “I don’t discipline the neighbor’s kids because they don’t belong to me, but I discipline you because you belong to me and I want what’s best for you.” Because of my dad’s approach to discipline I grew up with a healthy attitude of acceptance towards authority. Sadly, I fear many of our youth today are missing this healthy attitude towards discipline and the ability to receive the word, “NO” without argument. Unfortunately, this negative attitude towards authority and discipline is making its way into our schools, universities, work places, government, and even our churches.

Many today will not endeavor (make an effort) to keep the unity or peace unless they “get their own way.” The need for cooperation, team work, compromise, seeing the bigger picture, or self-reflection is not taken into consideration. Many people would rather see discord, conflict, and confusion rather than seeking instruction, knowledge, or even reproof. As the Bible plainly teaches, none of us are perfect and we all need instruction and correction from time to time.

As Christians, it should be our attitude to welcome instruction and correction into our lives as it will also bring forth knowledge, experience, and wisdom. Being willing to accept a little warranted instruction here and there can spread great peace, unity, and joy for everyone involved.

So, the next time something doesn’t work out your way instead of getting upset or mad, ask our LORD to show you how you can use it to better gain knowledge and understanding. In doing so, you are demonstrating wisdom and your love for instruction.

The Wind Was Contrary…

The Wind Was Contrary…

…”But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves; for the wind was contrary…(Matthew 14:34)

Have you ever set out to do something that you thought was the right thing to do and in the midst of doing it everything started going wrong? Oh, my friend, you are in a good place to witness a miracle!

In the book of Matthew, chapter fourteen, we read where Jesus instructed his disciples to enter into a ship and, “go before him unto the other side…” The disciples followed our Lord’s instructions and entered into the ship to set sail for “the other side.” While they were sailing alone, Jesus himself went up into a mountain to pray until evening.

It was around the “fourth watch of the night” (3 AM) when the disciples found their ship being tossed about by the waves from the contrary winds. Now, remember these were seasoned fishermen who knew a thing or two about storms…But, no man or woman enjoys being in a storm at 3AM in the middle of a sea! As they were doing their best to steer the ship in the tumultuous tossing winds, they saw a “figure” walking upon the waters. Surely, it was a spirit they thought…Perhaps, they even thought it was a “sign of death.” Their faith was definitely being tested…

But, the Bible teaches us that, “Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.” (vs 27)…I don’t know about you, but “cheering” because it was the LORD coming towards me instead of an unknown spirit would not have been a problem! I would have been jumping up and down, clapping, and cheering, “Thank you, thank you Sweet Jesus!”

Many of us know the rest of the story. This is when Peter stepped out of the boat and began to walk upon the waters to meet Jesus…In ways, I think I would have wished to do the same thing! I mean who wouldn’t want to rush out to meet Jesus when your ship is being tossed to and fro!! But, as soon as Peter took his eyes off of Jesus he began to sink into the waters. Ouch! And, thus we have one of the shortest prayers in the Bible, “Lord, save me!” As a result, Jesus sweetly reached out his hand and pulled Peter from the waters as he admonished him, “O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?”

Doubt comes into all of our lives at one time or another…But, just as Peter called upon the Lord to save him, we can pray the same simple prayer, “Lord, save me.” Whether it be new adventures or an old adventure with a new twist, we can all become apprehensive in our endeavors. That’s when it’s time to call upon the one whom the winds and seas obey…

Today, you may be facing a situation in your own life where you need Faith, Hope, and Trust…Then, my friend, as I said before, you are in a good place…You are in the ship and Jesus is walking upon the waters heading your way! Remain calm and soon you will hear his voice say unto you, “It is I.” Amen!
