Day 13 Celebrating Immanuel

Day 13 Celebrating Immanuel

And His Name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6)

Have you ever been to an event, happening, or occasion where a famous person was in attendance or a special guest speaker was present and the host or hostess gave a formal introduction of the person?  Typically speaking, the introduction is usually filled with many impressive titles, accomplishments, and accolades.

In many ways Isaiah is providing a “formal introduction” to earth’s future special guest, Jesus Christ. Isaiah referred to his future guest as being “Wonderful.”  Think about it, outside of our grandchildren and loved ones and those closest to us, who do we actually know that is Wonderful!  The word, “wonderful,” is usually used in association with Good News (The very Gospel of Jesus Christ is Good News!)  or it is used to describe an exciting, happy event or occasion within our lives.  We all love Wonderful news or Wonderful things!

And, today Jesus Christ is the most Wonderful Person in our lives…He is our loving Savior who loved us so much that he was willing to take our sins upon his shoulders and die in our place that we might have life and have it more abundantly (John 3:16). Oh, the Wonderful Person Christ Jesus…There is none other above Him; for He is Our God…Our Wonderful God.  Today, I can call Him Wonderful…Amen.

I hope today that you will enjoy the “Wonderfulness” of God in Christ Jesus our one and only Hope, Strength, Love, and Joy…Remember, Jesus is the Reason for the Christmas Season…Amen.

Remember God Loves You!
