This is the Heritage…

“This is the Heritage…”

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.  THIS IS THE HERITAGE of the servants of the LORD….” Isaiah 54:17 KJV

This morning, you may be facing harsh judgments and painful criticisms because of your belief in Jesus Christ as well as your morals, values, standards, and convictions.  You are not alone.  Since the beginning of time, those who have followed God’s ways have faced persecution and rejection.

Our first example of persecution can be found written in the Book of GenesisAdam and Eve’s son, Abel, wanted to “please” God with his offerings, but his brother, Cain, did not.  When God honored and blessed Abel’s offerings, Cain became upset and rose up against his brother committing the first human murder ever recorded (Genesis 4:1-16)….Later, we will find Abel’s name listed in the New Testament Book of Hebrews in the chapter many refer to as, “The Hall of Faith” (Chapter 11).

The term “heritage” has wonderful meaning to all humans; especially Christians.  It means, “inheritance,” “legacy,” “birthright,” custom” and “tradition.”  God has provided a divine “heritage” to his servants (believers and followers of Jesus Christ).  Even though we are harshly judged for who we are and who we believe in by today’s society…We will one day stand clothed in divine garments of “righteousness” before the Lord of Hosts for the whole world to see that  our sins have been forgiven, washed in the Blood of Jesus Christ, and Redeemed forever more!  Oh, what a heritage!

So, this morning I want to encourage you all through the day and weeks ahead… “Don’t give up!”  “Don’t give in!”  “Keep on keeping on!”  For your Heritage is Great in Heaven.  Amen.

May God supply all of your needs according to His riches in Glory.  Amen.

Remember, God Loves You!
